We are dedicated to supporting those in need by providing essential items such as hygiene kits, food, everyday necessities, and spiritual encouragement through prayer. Every dollar we receive is fully directed toward making a meaningful difference. In addition, we offer critical emergency resources to ensure immediate relief for those facing urgent challenges.

Step 2: Items are received by mail at least two weeks before the distribution date. Once delivered, they are carefully sorted and packaged for distribution.

Step 3: We recruit dedicated volunteers, with approximately 14-16 individuals participating to assist with distributions. Each month, 100 packages are handed out on the last Saturday.

About Us

The Butterfly Effect Experience is a faith-based organization dedicated to serving the homeless community in Downtown Los Angeles. My mother and I started this ministry in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. Each month, we create and distribute 50–100 "blessing bags" filled with essential items like snacks, water, and hygiene products. Every bag contains approximately 25 items and includes a sandwich lunch. Additionally, we provide optional items such as clothing, shoes, underwear, tents, sleeping bags, and bedding.

We are able to fund these efforts through the generosity of donations from our church, family, friends, coworkers, and peers. I maintain an Amazon wish list with bulk items needed for the bags and share the link via text. Monetary donations are also accepted through Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or in person. Every dollar donated is used exclusively to purchase items for the blessing bags.

Each month, volunteers assist with packing and distributing the bags, ensuring the process runs smoothly. Our outreach focuses on locations where homeless individuals lack access to services such as missions or food banks. We visit people living under or near freeways, train stations, and other isolated areas. The individuals we meet are often receptive and grateful for the support we provide.
